Jochen Daneels bolsters management team of Nazareth-based finishing construction firm Beddeleem

Jochen Daneels (36) was recently appointed as commercial director of Beddeleem based in Nazareth, headed by co-CEOs Hendrik Daneels and Koen De Block. Beddeleem is chiefly known as a manufacturer and installer of relocatable partitions but has since developed into a full-service fit out contractor (approval class 8 category D). As a unique one-stop shop it can, therefore, independently complete and organise major renovation projects from a to z.

After studying industrial structural engineering, Jochen Daneels started at Beddeleem, where he spent the past 13 years acquiring experience and know-how as project manager. He is particularly proud of a few recent prestigious and challenging finishing projects which he has executed as part of a team in the Residence Palace (the European Council building), the WTC3 tower and the Pacheco building (IBZ) in Brussels. Incidentally, Jochen has 3 younger brothers who all work as project managers at Beddeleem.

Sales and marketing communications, which were previously monitored by his father and CEO Hendrik Daneels, now come under the responsibility of his new role. This separate position was necessary. “In the context of our growth and value creation Beddeleem wants to move towards providing a full service for building finishing and completion work, working directly for the client. So, we will be developing a stronger profile and clearly positioning ourselves, as well as stepping up our attendances at exhibitions, events and business networks. We will also be focusing even more intensively on the foreign market,” according to Jochen Daneels.

Jochen Daneels, in his role as commercial director, is now part of the 6-strong executive board, comprising CEO duo Hendrik Daneels & Koen De Block, and also Patrick Van der Bruggen (CFO), Wouter Vermeire (COO) and Steven Van de Mosselaer (Production).
